Hardness: Many customers are very concerned about hardness when purchase aluminum profiles. The hardness have a direct relationship with chemical composition of alloy. Different states also affect the hardness of aluminum profiles. The hardness can be achieved for 7 lines, 2 lines, 4 lines, 6 lines, 5 lines, 3 lines, 1 lines.

Strength: strength is the important factor that must be considered during product design. You should select the appropriate alloy based on the pressure as it is aluminum alloy components. The hardness have some relations with strength. The strength of pure aluminum is the lowest, while the alloy of 2 and 7 heat treatment type is the highest.

Corrosion resistance: corrosion resistance including chemical corrosion, stress corrosion resistance and other properties. In general, the corrosion resistance of 1 series aluminum is the best, 5 series performed well, followed by 3 series and 6 series, 2 series and 7 series is poor. The choice of corrosion resistance principle should be based on the application occasions. you must use a variety of composite materials with corrosion under high-strength alloy corrosion environment.

Machinability: It includes forming performance and cutting performance. Because the formability is related to state, you the need to consider the strength range of various states in the process of selecting aluminum alloy grades. Generally, high strength material is not easy to shape. For the mold and  machine parts that need to be cut, the cutting performance of aluminum alloy is an important considerations.

Weldability: There are no problem about weldability for most of the aluminum alloy, especially for the 5 series of aluminum alloy which is designed for welding considerations. The part 2 and 7 series of aluminum alloy is more difficult to weld.

Decorative properties: In general, good corrosion resistance materials do better in the aspects of anode processing performance, surface treatment properties and coating performance.
